In the caves of Secaus – Teruel (Spain) – there are paintings made 20,000 years ago that represent women dressed in fur jackets and skirts and hunters wearing high boots and leather pants. There is evidence that shows that the history of footwear begins around 10,000 years before Jesus Christ, that is, at the end of the Paleolithic period. There are paintings from this time in Spanish and southern French caves that refer to footwear.
