Description:
Auxiliary product for leather retanning.

Chemical nature:
Synthetic retanning agent with dispersing properties.

Characteristical features:
Sodic salt derivative of a naphthalene-sulphonic acid. Appearance: Powder. Nature: Anionic. Solids content: 95% approx. pH value (1:10): 7,0 ±1 Colour: Yellowish.

Properties:
It accelerates the penetration of vegetal tannins and other synthetic anionic retanning agents by decreasing leather´s astringency towards these products, which makes its use adviceable if we need to ensure a more even and matched retanning.

Storage capacity:
The product can be stored in its well closed container, in a well ventilated place at temperatures between +5º and +35ºC. In its sealed container it lasts 12 months.

Application:
It can be said that its natural place of use in a standard retanning procedure will be either before adding extracts and synthetics during neutralisation procedure, or in the retanning bath, about 15 minutes before adding the main retanning pack. It can also be added together with other agents co-actuating at the retanning procedure.

Safety:
When handling this product the instructions set out in the safety data leaflet must be observed. The relevant safety and precautionary measures for hygiene in the workplace must also be followed when working with chemical products.
